Lebron James moving trucks cause a stir on social media

Spotting moving trucks can always come as a bit of a shock. We have all had those moments when one pulls in front of a neighbor's home and that is how you find out they are moving. However, in some cases, the sight of trucks can cause a major stir.

This week, social media exploded when several exotic car transportation trucks were spotted outside the Miami-based house of NBA superstar Lebron James. Currently a free agent, the entire NBA off-season has been put on hold while James, the best player in the league, meets with teams to figure out which organization he will sign with.

The leading contenders are the Miami Heat, his current team, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, his former and hometown team. The moment moving trucks were spotted, pictures of them flooded Twitter and other social media platforms and the speculation ran rampant that James would be on the move from Miami.

Over the course of several hours, rumors swirled until it was reported that moving his cars is something that James does every summer.

Moving trucks have a long history with sports. In 1984, the then Baltimore Colts secretly packed 15 moving trucks and relocated to Indianapolis in the middle of the night on March 28. Boston Red Sox fans celebrate truck day every year in early February when several trucks are loaded with equipment at Fenway Park and start the drive down Interstate 95 to the spring training site in Fort Myers, Florida.
